The Different Types of Eyelash Extensions and how they are Applied?

What are the Different types of Eyelash Extensions and how they are Applied?

Eyelash extensions are one of the fastest growing trends in the beauty industry. Eyelash extensions are used to enhance the length, curliness, fullness and thickness of natural eyelashes. What makes eyelash extensions so unique is that every lash extension comes in many different lash curls, lengths and thicknesses which all play a significant role in how a finished set of lash extensions will look on each client. Eyelash extensions can provide a natural fuller look to those with fine lashes. Heavier extensions can be applied for a luxurious eye-look which can be appropriate for both day and night. However, the health of the natural lash should never be compromised and technicians should only apply the length and thickness that an eyelash can tolerate. Here at Mila Lashes we offer three different types of lashes, namely; Classic lashes; Classic, 2D + 3D lashes; and Russian Volume Lashes.

Classic Lashes

Classic lash extensions are single synthetic lashes which are applied one by one to create a natural look. The lashes are applied directly to the natural lash with a small amount of bonding adhesive.  Classic lash extensions come in a variety of lengths. Here at Mila Lashes we use lengths ranging from 0.15mm-0.10mm thickness. For more information about Classic Lashes click here.

Classic, 2D + 3D Lashes

Classic + 2D, 3D Lashes are a combination of classic and volume (2D, 3D) lashes – perfect if you are after a classic look with just that little extra volume. The term 2D lashes means that two extensions are placed on one natural lashes and 3D means that three lashes are placed on each lash. The application process used to create Classic, 2D + 3D lashes include incorporating single lashes and 2D and 3D fans.  Want to find out more click here.

Russian Volume Lashes

Russian Volume Lashes are the latest trend. As the name suggests, the technique originates from Russia. The process includes creating a bouquet of lashes, fanning out 2-7 super lightweight single lashes and placing them on to one natural lash to create the fullest-looking lashes possible. Here at Mila Lashes we hand craft the fans which allows me more freedom to cater to your specific needs, to take into account your lash health and avoid using an excessive amount of glue.
